It sounds so simple. Do what you love and love what you do. Often I wonder if it is a choice or outside of our consciousness. Do we choose what we love? Do we love what we are good at, or do we excel at what we love?
These questions are something to consider, but one thing is clear. Try to merge as much as you can the things which you love with what you do to earn a living.
Work and everything around it can be playful and fun if we put our minds to it. If that is not possible, we should change our work to be as close to the things we love as possible.
In the words of the late Allan Watts:
“Don’t make a distinction between work and play, regard everything that you’re doing, as play; and don’t imagine for one minute that you’ve got to be serious about it.”
